Playing Horse

What do you do after eating like a horse during the holidays? Well, you jump on one and ride off the extra portions. “Kai” was dolled up in a Santa hat while out for a brisk ride on Rodeo Beach. It’s time to start thinking about packing up the holiday boxes and start walking off

Overtime for Sugarfoot

“Sugarfoot,” the reindeer statue, dates back to 1914 when the Dondero family moved from the city to San Anselmo and brought him along. The old guy now, because of downsizing, has to stand in for the famed red-nosed raindeer during the holidays. After the Dondero parents passed away, their children agreed to donate him to

Cold Front

This gentleman was a little overdressed for the mild climate of the Bay Area. Perhaps he checked The Weather Channel and wasn’t telling anyone about the cold fronts. Why is it when you were young you could wear a t-shirt in winter, but as you get older, the layers appear? See and purchase more work

I was able to shoot the sun through some low-lying morning haze but still had to stop down all the way to f32, which caused the star-like effect on my highlights. See

Rain or Shine?

Be a Friend of Photography and take images such as these, get details here. Rain or shine, you can count on the Dolphin Club swimmers still dipping while the fishermen are planting crab pots in San Francisco Bay. Those few that choose to swim laps back and forth along the waterfront of Sausalito give me

Breath of Wind

Join Friends of Photography and take images such as these, details here. I walked out to Point Bonita during sunrise and it was surreal. Not a breath of wind – and that alone is for the record books. The Point was as quiet as a field mouse – not one early morning human sighting, not

Alcatraz on the Rise

Moon Week

Friends of Photography take images such as these, see details here. If you read the sky from left to right it appeared the “happy face” crescent moon was making a serious “hit” on the planet Venus. In their close encounter, the waxing moon and the planet Venus were just a degree apart. Come join
